Patras (Πάτρα) is a city in western Greece and the administrative center of the province with the same name. The city is located on the southern coast of the Gulf of Corinth, on the Peloponnese. Patras is the third largest city in Greece and the third largest port after Athens, Piraeus and Thessaloniki.
There are many regular ferry lines from Patras to Italy. The city is famous for its landmarks - the cathedral "St. Andrew”, the Roman Theater, the Apollon Theater, as well as the carnival, which takes place in Patras three weeks before Easter and is one of the largest in Europe.
