Nafplio is a small and quiet town in a small bay in the eastern part of the Peloponnese. The architecture in the city is Venetian. The town is on the beach and is especially popular in the hot summer with American tourists and cruise ships. The city of Nafplio is located comparatively close to one of the Saronic islands of Greece - Hydra, to the pleasant village of Tolo, as well as to various archaeological sites such as Mycenae and Epidaurus and many others.
