Ierapetra is the fourth largest city on the island of Crete, as well as the southernmost city in Greece and Europe. Today, Ierapetra is a transport hub and a starting point for many agricultural products to Europe. This is the sunniest city, where the least precipitation is registered compared to the whole of Greece. The archeological treasures of Ierapetra include the island of Chrysi and the Selakano Forest.
