The Basilica of Saint Bartholomew in Rome was built in the XI century over a pagan temple in honor of the god of healing Aesculapius. In the Basilica of Saint Bartholomew there are 6 chapels in memory of: the victims of totalitarian communism; Nazism; killed in Latin America; casualties in Asia, Oceania and the Middle East, as well as the civil wars in Spain and Mexico.
