Amalfi Cathedral, Italy

The Amalfi Cathedral is dedicated to Apostle Saint Andrew. It was built in the ninth century but was remodelled in the Sicilo-Lombard-Norman style in the early thirteenth century. In 1890 the façade was decorated with modern mosaics. However, all the changes have spared the most beautiful and famous thing in it - the bronze Byzantine door from the 12th century at the main entrance. Inside the Cathedral of Ss. The tomb with the relics of St. Andrew is located inside the Amalfi Cathedral, brought here in the thirteenth century.
