Treviso, Italy

Treviso is a city in northeastern Italy. It is located in the Veneto region, the administrative center of the province of Treviso. The city is usually overlooked by tourists because of Venice, but there is a very well-preserved medieval center with a fortress wall. The main square of Treviso, Piazza dei Signori, is surrounded by medieval towers and castles. Nearby are both churches - "St. Vit” and "Chiesa di Santa Lucia".
Next to the river is the other most famous landmark of Treviso - the Dominican Church "St. Nicholas” decorated with frescoes by Tomaso Modena, one of the most famous northern Italian masters.
