
Doria Pamphilj Palace, Rome

Doria Pamphilj is a palace in Rome, belonging to the ancient aristocratic Italian family Doria Pamphilj. It was built in 1435. Its monumental facade is in the Rococo style. The Doria Pamphilj Palace houses one of the richest collections of paintings from the 16th-18th centuries. It was collected mainly by Camilo Pamphilj, nephew of Pope Innocent X, whose portrait, by Velázquez, is also on display. There are also works of Raphael, Titian, Giovanni Bellini, Parmigianino, Tintoretto, Veronese and others. There is a painting by Caravaggio "Maria Magdalena" and "Vacation on the Road to Egypt", sculptural portraits of members of the Pamphili family and others.
