Lake Como is a lake with glacial origin in Lombardy, Italy. It has an area of ​​146 square kilometers, making it the third largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. With a depth of over 400 m it is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the bottom of the lake is more than 200 m below sea level.
Next to Lake Como is the city of Como, which historic center is well preserved. In the city interesting to see are: The cathedral from the fourteenth century; The town hall from the 13th century; Church "St. Fidelis” and the Basilica of Saint Abundius.
Some of the scenes from the famous Hollywood movies were shot on Lake Como: 
- Star Wars: Episode II - The Clones Attack (2002): Scenes from the planet Neptune were actually filmed at Villa Balbianello. 
- "Ocean's Gang 2" (2004): The residence of one of the characters in the film, The Night Fox, is Villa Erba, on Lake Como. 
- "Casino Royale" (2006): Some scenes related to James Bond were shot on Lake Como. These are the scenes with his stay in the hospital, his love affair with agent Vesper Lind, as well as the final scene of the film.
