The Certosa di San Martino (Charterhouse of St. Martin) is a former monastery complex, located in the western part of Naples. It was built in 1325 and rebuilt in the 17th century. The huge monastery houses the 90 rooms of the National Museum of St. Martin - best known for its hundreds of figurines and Neapolitan nativity scenes. The church attached to the Charterhouse of St. Martin is one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in Naples, with beautiful frescoes from the 16th-17th centuries.
