Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany

Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany in southeastern Bavaria, is the only alpine national park in Germany. In it is the Waumann massif, as well as the beautiful glacial lake Koenig (Royal). It was a favorite place of the Bavarian royal dynasty. Now the only boats that are allowed to dive into the lake are electric. That is why the peace and quiet here is undisturbed. Canoeing is a favorite pastime of tourists.
Berchetesgaden National Park was declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in 1990 because of its alpine terrain and preserved flora and fauna, represented by bearded and griffon vultures, bald eagles, chamois, foxes and deer.
Of interest is the villa of Adolf Hitler "Eagle's Nest".
