Rothenbuch is a health resort located at the end of the Ammer valley. With its delightful natural features, the town is part of the Romantic Road for a reason. Rothenbuch used to be part of the monastery of the same name with the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, which is still a major landmark of the town. Its interior and organ are extremely beautiful and worth a visit. Interesting in Rothenbuch is the Echelsbacher bridge over the river from 1929 with a height of 76 m. Rothenbuch is also famous for Germany's largest thoroughbred stallion market and for the beer festival at the end of August , which dates back to 1558. And for canoeing enthusiasts, the river Ammer presents a wonderful opportunity for a pleasant experience.
