Wallerstein is in the Danube region with a picturesque location overlooking the Danube. The town was incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria in the early 19th century as the heirs of Oettingen- Wallerstein built a fantastic castle on a huge 65-metre high cliff. Unfortunately, the castle was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War, but later rebuilt nearby. The wonderful garden with lots of greenery and a large number of statues is delightful. But the real experience is the fantastic view from the 65-metre high cliff.
