Basilica di Santa Trinita in Florence is located near the Arno River. The current church was built between 1258 and 1280 on the site of a church from the 11th century. The facade of the Basilica di Santa Trinita is the work of Bernardo Bontalenti. The relief above the central door is the work of Pietro Bernini and Giovanni Battista Caccini. Most interesting in the Basilica di Santa Trinita is the cycle of frescoes by Domenico Ghirlandaio.
