The construction of the Verona Cathedral began in 1120 and it was consecrated on September 13, 1187. It was built in Romanesque style, and the facade is lined with "Verona red" (stone with a pink tinge). The western and eastern entrances are impressive with their columns, statues and bas-reliefs. The biggest attraction in the Cathedral of Verona is the icon made by Titian - "Assumption", the frescoes of Francesco Torbido and others.
