
Volterra, Itraly

Volterra is a small and picturesque town in the region of Tuscany, Italy. The town was founded by the Etruscan tribes on a rocky hill. The following are of interest in Volterra: the Etruscan Museum "Guarnacci", one of the most important in Italy; the Art Gallery with the masterpiece of Rosso Fiorentino, the "Deposition from the Cross"; the Fortress of Volterra; the Archaeological Park with Roman and other ruins.
