Basilica of the Most Holly Annunciation, Florence
The Basilica of the Most Holly Annunciation in Florence was opened in 1250. The current facade of the church was added in 1601 by architect Gavini Battista and imitates the facade of Brunelleschi of the Innocenti Institute in the eastern part of the square. In the narthex of the Basilica of the Most Holly Annunciation there is a good cycle of frescoes for "The Life of the Mother of God" and "The Life of St. Filippo Benici” by Sarto, Pontoromo and Rosso Fiorentino. Inside the Basilica of the Most Holly Annunciation, the most interesting is the Gift Shop by Mikoleczo, which preserves a miraculous icon of the Mother of God from the thirteenth century.
