Vakhtangov Theater is named after a famous student of K. Stanislavski - Yevgeni Vakhtanagov (1883-1922). The golden statue of Princess Turandot and the stone fountain on the right side of the building were created on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the founding of Moscow, celebrated in 1997.
