
Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, Turin

Construction of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist began in 1491. Architect Juvar designed the top of the bell tower in 1720. In the period 1668-1694, the chapel was built, which houses the Shroud of Turin - the Holy Shroud, which is believed to be the body of the crucified Jesus Christ was wrapped.
