Urbino is a city in Italy, in the Marche region. Urbino's history dates back to Roman times. It received the status of a city in 568. In the Middle Ages, one of the most exquisite royal courts in Europe was located here. It flourished during the reign of Federico de Montefeltro in the period 1444 - 1482. The Montefeltro family of mercenaries managed to rise to the rulers of Urbino.
The most impressive in Urbino are: the Ducal Palace, which houses the National Gallery of the Marches; Raphael's house; the Oratory of St. Joseph; the Oratory of St. John the Baptist; Diocesan Museum, etc. From the park above the city reveals a wonderful panoramic view.
