Cathedral of Pienza, Italy

The Cathedral of Pienza is one of the earliest Renaissance facades. It was consecrated in 1462 by Pope Pius II. The Cathedral incorporates elements from the Germanic churches where Pius II served for many years before becoming Pope. The interior of Pienza Cathedral includes five altarpieces by the School of Siena.
