Hohenfurch, Germany

Source: Wikipedia
Hohenfurch is an idyllic village at the foot of the Alps as part of the Romantic Road. For hiking enthusiasts there are numerous hiking trails around it and for those who like other types of entertainment there are horse riding, tennis and many other surprises. In Hohenfurch is the late Gothic chapel of St. Ursula", built in 1520 and dedicated to the salgiers who used to drive their huge wooden rafts on the Lech and Danube rivers to the Black Sea. Renovated after renovation, the chapel and especially the wonderful altar are worth a visit. Nearby in Altenstadt is the Romanesque Basilica of "St. Michael", which is the only fully vaulted church from the late Romanesque period in Bavaria.
