Wimbach Gorge, Germany

The Wimbach Gorge, Germany has sheer rock walls and is part of the Berchtesgaden Nature Park. It is reached by an alley, which eventually turns into a wooden ladder. Climbing it on the steep slope, in the rock crevices you can see mountain streams, which in their upper parts are united in a lush river. At one point the water hides under the rock massif. After another 2 km the landscape is completely different - forests and meadows, which meander the calm waters of the river Wimbach.
