Picos de Europa ("Peaks of Europe") is a mountain range, breathtaking limestone massif, 20 km away from the northern coast of Spain, the border of the two autonomous regions of Asturias and Cantabria. Picos de Europa is a forming part of the Caribbean. The most widely accepted hypothesis about the origin of the name is that they were the first sight from Europe to be revealed to ships arriving from America.
