Aosta is a city in northern Italy, the administrative center of the province of Aosta and the Valle d'Aosta region. It is located by the Dora Baltea River. Aosta is a historic city with Roman ruins, medieval churches and quiet squares. In Aosta interesting for visiting are: the Roman Forum; Theater; Amphitheater; The Praetorian Gate; The Arch of Augustus, which was built in 35 BC; Regional Archaeological Museum; Aosta Cathedral with treasure museum; St. Urus Church. Currently in Aosta are highly developed tourism and trade aided by the tunnels "Mont Blanc" and "Saint Bernard".
