The main attraction of the port of Genoa is the second largest aquarium in Europe, built in 1992. It is located in 50 huge bodies of water and has 20,000 marine animals and organisms. About 1,500,000 visitors come here each year to explore the diverse marine species, including dolphins, sharks and penguins.
