Pistoia is a town in Italy, in the region of Tuscany. The city is located between Florence and Lucca. The most interesting in Pistoia are: the Cathedral Square with several castles and small museums; the 12th-century Cathedral with the famous silver altar of St. James, which is the largest work of silver in Italy and depicts 628 sculptures and weighs nearly a ton; the Church of St. Andrew; the Hospital of the Flowering Stump, a medieval building decorated with a frieze of terracotta.
