Todi, Italy
Todi is a town in Italy, in the region of Umbria. According to legend, the city was founded in 1330 BC. Historical records of the settlement date from the 7th-7th centuries BC. Todi was conquered by the Romans in 217 BC. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire it remained under Lombard rule of the Dukes of Spoleto. In 1367, the Kingdom of Lombardy was ruled by the Lothians. Todi was annexed to the Papal States, and in 1860 it was already part of the Kingdom of Italy. Interesting sights in Todi are: the Cathedral; the Municipal Palace with the City Museum, the People's Palace with the Art Gallery; the Church of St. Fortunatus; the Church of Our Lady of Consolation, etc.
