Reit im Winkl, Germany

The picturesque town of Reit im Winkl is a small settlement in the "Kösch" formed by the southeastern part of Bavaria and the provinces of Tyrol and Salzburg. This is what its name means in translation - "vinckl" means "kösche". Reit im Winkl is a famous German resort area, especially in winter. Two international airports about two hours away make it an easily accessible tourist center.
Reit im Winkl is especially suitable for more experienced winter sports practitioners. In addition to groomed slopes, the resort also has options for downhill skiing on ungroomed slopes. The characteristics of Reit im Winkl are from 1800 m to 700 m altitude and 50 km total length of slopes, a maximum vertical drop of 1100 m and 9.6 km length of the longest slope. There are 90 km of groomed cross-country ski trails. With this altitude, artificial snow machines are used to ensure a quality snow cover on 32 km of the total length of the slopes. The extreme experience of downhill skiing on untreated terrain can start from an altitude of 1100 m. The lift system is of an exceptionally good level and includes 50 facilities covering a capacity of 22,000 people per hour. A guarantee that you won't be hanging around in queues. The lift pass provides both the opportunity to use the lift and to ride the city bus for free, which takes you to the desired ski area.
