The Bay of Fundy, located in southeastern Canada, is famous for its unusually high tidal waves. The tidal waters move very fast, with the tide travelling 280 km in 6 hours. The current causes whirlpools and eddies around the islands and seamounts.

The erosion that these tons of water cause as they flow in and out of the bay over the millennia has sculpted a bizarre landscape of coastal cliffs, rock formations jutting out of the water.

There are also underwater caves that contain deposits of fossils. This area has a wide variety of water birds, giant sharks, different species of dolphins and more. A boat ride in the bay during high tide is something extraordinarily beautiful.
