Yoho National Park of Canada, Canada

Yoho National Park of Canada is one of four parks in the Canadian Rockies park system protected by UNESCO as World Natural Heritage sites. Yoho National Park of Canada is exceptionally beautiful. Yoho National Park of Canada has snow-capped peaks, glacial lakes, waterfalls and vast dark forests.
In 1909, Charles Walcott of the Smithsonian Institution discovered in Yoho National Park of Canada unique fossils from the Cambrian period. Millions of years ago, the area was the bottom of a shallow sea. Later, the land was uplifted and today's mountain ranges emerged. The lower life forms found near Burgess Shale have bizarre shapes and their fossils give scientists information about the evolutionary process itself.
Two spiral tunnels climb up the mountain to the Kinking Horse Pass. Water erosion caused by the river of the same name created the hoodoos, large rounded boulders supported on columns of glacial ice. The melting of the glaciers caused the creation of Emerald Lake. There is also a waterfall nearby called Takakau.
