One of the tourist attractions in Western Egypt is the White desert. It is so named because of the deposits of limestone and similar minerals, the result of sandstorms.
Unique stone phenomena, resulting from prolonged and strong erosion processes, lead the local Bedouins to call the White Desert "Wadi Gazar" or the Valley of the Carrots, because of the bizarre appearance of the rock formations, which are unique and characteristic of the place. Residents liken the surreal limestone forms to rock sculptures of camels, mythological creatures, birds and pharaohs.
During a visit to the White Desert, the local springs of the White Desert should not be missed. Ain al-Sarru, Bir McPhee and Ain al-Audi can be highlighted as bright representatives of this landmark. These natural mineral springs are separated by small hills, formed as a result of the meeting of the sanding sands with the vegetation around the water.
Wadi Hennes is that northern part of the White Desert that has several unexplored ruins, as well as a supposed tomb. They dotted an ancient trade route connecting Farafra with another oasis. Although it extends beyond the lands of the White Desert, the Crystal Mountain is filled with contradictions coming from its shape - supposedly a mountain, but a bare rock, but in the end it looks as if it is made of quartz crystal.
The White Desert is a place full of mysterious beauty that awakens desires for different experiences in its territories, so even the idea of a safari would not be bad.
