The Mount Nemrut rises 2149 m above the Anatolian plain. Due to the harsh winter conditions, the trip here is good to take between May and October. Reaching the top of Mount Nemrut, you will see an amazing view. Temples stand on two terraces - one facing the rising sun, the other - facing the setting sun, and between them stands a pyramid of small rocks - the tomb of Antiochus. Antiochus was king of Comagena, a small Roman puppet state founded by his father, Mithridates the Great. This fantastic building was made at the request of King Antiochus. Massive white statues of gods are placed on both terraces, and Antiochus stands between them as an equal.
