St. Stephen Church - Istanbul
The Bulgarian St. Stephen Church, built in neo-Gothic style, is one of the most remarkable buildings in Istanbul. The whole is made of iron and was brought from Vienna by ship on the Danube river. It was built on the west coast of the Golden Horn in 1871 by the thriving Eastern Orthodox Bulgarian community in Istanbul.
