The Church of San Pietro Somaldi in Lucca is located east of Merciato Square. The church was built by the Lombards in the 11th century. The façade is made of white and grey marble and two rows of beautiful loggias built in 1248. The central entrance features St Peter holding keys by Guido da Como. On the north side of the Church of San Pietro Somaldi rises a brick belfry.
