
Brighton

Brighton is a city on the south coast of England in East Sussex County. It is on the southeast shore of the English Channel and it is a poplar sea resort attracting around 8 million visitors every year.
The city of Brighton gained further and rather tragic popularity in 1984 when the Irish Republican Army (IRA) organized a terrorist attack against the then Prime-Minister of the United Kingdom – Margaret Thatcher at the Grand Hotel on the morning of 12th of October. She was staying at the hotel for the annual conference of the Conservative Party and luckily survived the bombing.
Many more positive events have been held in Brighton too like the 2002 Fatboy Slim concert who was attended by 250 thousand people.
The main historical site in Brighton is the Royal Pavilion. The building is an oriental-like palace constructed at the end of 18th century by the then Prince of Wales, who later became King George IV.
The city offers many attractions and entertainment options. It is famous for its colorful shops, restaurants and bars. The combination between the old and the new part of the city creates a charming spirit and together with the beautiful seacoast guarantees a great experience.
