The Karain Cave was discovered in 1919 and has been proven to have been inhabited since the Paleolithic era, making it the oldest settlement in Turkey. Many of Karain's finds are exposed in the Museum of Antalya, but there is a smaller museum on the edge of the high meadow where the cave is.
