Lake Koygegis is located on the so-called Turquoise Coast. The whole area around the lake is a nature reserve inhabited by rare animals such as kingfisher - small, brightly colored birds that feed with fish from the rivers; white heron and cranes. On the eastern shore of the lake are located hot sulfur springs, which are said to have healing waters.
