Teide is an island volcano. Its foothills are covered with lush vegetation. Mount Teide (3718 m) is the highest in Spain. But tourists are not allowed to the highest point of the volcano because of the hot gases coming out of the fumaroles at the top. The views from the gondola are amazing.
