Loch Fyne is the largest salt loch in Scotland. It is an hour and a half by car from Glasgow airport. The scenery here is one of the most attractive in the country. The waters of the sea-connected Loch Fyne are frequented by dolphins, seals strut along the coastal cliffs and sharks sometimes make an appearance.

In the picturesque 7th-century town of Inverarie, close to Lake Fyne, stands the famous castle that served as the residence of the Dukes of Argyll for centuries. In this romantic castle, the formal ducal chambers, the antique furnishings and the ancient portraits have been preserved. Also close to Lake Fyne is Ardkinglass Woodland Park, where gorgeous azaleas, rhododendrons and conifers over 60m tall can be seen.
