Makarska is located at the foot of Biokovo Mountain, in a beautiful bay, separated from the open sea by the peninsula of St. Peter. It is located between Split and Dubrovnik. Makarska is often called the Croatian Saint Tropez. In Makarska it is worth visiting the church of St. Philip, the Cathedral of St. Marcus as well as the interesting collection of mussels and shells from all world seas in the museum.
