Lake Inari is the third largest Finnish lake and the largest lake in Lapland. From May to June, the "white nights" can be seen here, and the small islands scattered in the lake give Lake Inari an incredible view. In November, the waters of Lake Inari freeze over and then the polar nights set in. There is an open-air museum here representing the Sami people in their traditional dwellings.
