Tirana's Mother Teresa International Airport, often referred to as Rinas Airport, is the only international airport in Albania. It is located about 17 km northwest of the capital Tirana, in the village of Rinas, hence its other name. The airport has the IATA code TIA. Low-cost airlines operate mainly international flights from this airport. The airlines that fly to TIA are Air One, GermanWings and Jetairfly.

Getting to Mother Teresa Airport can be done by car as it is easily accessible via the highway between Tirana and Durres, a diversion from which is the new road to the airport. Another way is a bus service from the airport to the National Museum in Tirana, with the bus running every hour, between 6.00 and 18.00. Of course another option is by taxi, the stand of which is in front of the terminal itself.
