The Masurian Lake District or Masurian Lakeland are located in an area with the largest freshwater expanses in northeastern Poland. They are surrounded by beautiful hills and forests, and there are vast arable areas. There are 45 large lakes interconnected by 12 canals and 8 rivers and numerous small ponds. There are many rare animals such as black storks, water bulls and mute swans. The area of the Masurian Lakeland is very beautiful and peaceful for a holiday.
