Praid is a popular Romanian resort located five kilometres from the Romanian town of Sovata, in the county of Hargita (Transylvania). The popularity of the Romanian resort of Pride is primarily due to its salt mine, where salt mining traditions date back to the past. The salt pits date back to around the 2nd century AD, when these lands were upvoted by the Romans, who actually built them. The tradition of salt mining did not die out after the collapse of the Roman Empire. It was continued by the Avars and Bulgars.

Geologically, the Romanian resort of Pride is a salt hill 567 metres high. Over the centuries, the exploitation of the reserves has reduced their quantity, but the mine has not closed its doors. Today, the vast underground spaces are part of a resort complex.

Salina Salt Mine near the village of Pride is one of the largest salt mines in Europe. Speleotherapy takes place 120 metres underground, where there is a swimming pool, playground, cafes, restaurant, winery, etc. Visitors can enjoy an active church and a museum presenting various tools and techniques for salt extraction, salt crystals, salt figures and everyday objects. In Salina, an organized tour of the mine is offered for groups of at least 25 people.

Pride is a place with a unique microclimate, the temperature is relatively constant - between 14 and 16 degrees, the humidity is low - 60% - 70% and the pressure is higher than at the surface - 735 - 738 mm of mercury.
