Livadia Palace is a beautiful architectural building located in the city of the same name Livadia in Ukraine. In the past, this magnificent building was the residence of the Russian kings. Their reign ended tragically - with the execution of Tsar Nicholas II in 1917.

Livadia Palace was founded by Tsar Alexander II, who built the castle after initially purchasing the land in 1861. The Tsar chose Ippolito Antonovich Monighetti as the architect of the palace project, who gained fame thanks to his design for the Stroganov Institute in Moscow .

Subsequently, Monighetti turned out to be the architect of the entire complex in Livadia, which included churches, luxurious private houses and office buildings. Thus, as a result of his mastery, the "Livadia" palace complex includes 60 buildings, which are surrounded by beautiful and picturesque gardens. The later addition to the "Livadia" palace was carried out under Tsar Nicholas II, who trusted the architect Krasnov.

Livadia Palace, apart from its grandeur and beauty, is known for a very important event that took place on its grounds. This is the Yalta Conference in 1945, where the great leaders Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin met to discuss the boundaries of modern Europe.

After the revolution, the "Livadia" palace became a sanatorium, and in the 1970s the park and its buildings were transformed into a museum. Regardless of everything, the "Livadia" palace remains an indisputable landmark and one of the popular tourist sites in Crimea.
