The Marble Mountains are five peaks west of Da Nang, Vietnam, facing the East China Sea. They contain marble and limestone and are cut by passages, tunnels and caves. The mountains are famous for the traditional quarrying of stone, from which the local population makes statues, ornaments and works of art. The different peaks contain different coloured marble - pink, white or brown.

Tuy Son is the highest peak in the Marble Mountains and the view from it is majestic. There are steps carved into it leading to the Tam Tia Pagoda and also to the Huyen Hong Cave. During the Vietnam War, many of the caves were used by Viet Cong fighters, as evidenced by the bullet holes in the walls. There are several caves in the mountain, with high cathedral-like ceilings. In them, religious ceremonies are performed in honor of the Buddha. The best time to visit here is in spring and early summer, and the nearest town is Da Nang, 12 km away.
