Mount Triglav in the Julian Alps, Slovenia is 2,864 m high. It rises between the valleys of the Soca and Sava rivers, in the middle of the Triglav National Park. The view from here is incredible. And the area in northwestern Slovenia, named after the Julian dynasty of Roman emperors, is a fairyland of ancient castles and beautiful villages, clear rivers and mountain lakes, craggy peaks and wildflower meadows. There are two famous lakes in the Triglav National Park - Lake Bled with its legendary castle and church on the islet and Lake Bohinj, famous for its dark blue waters. The 60-metre high Sovitsky waterfall is also located here.
