Andorra is located in the Eastern Pyrenees. It has majestic rocky ridges with steep, almost vertical slopes and deep valleys. The most expressive is the valley of the Valira, along which the oldest road connecting Spain and France was built.



The mountain ridges, covered with coniferous and deciduous forests, offer wonderful conditions for ski sports in winter.



The basic means of livelihood is connected with tourism and trade. Andorra is visited by approximately 3 million tourists annually. Andorra la Vella is the highest situated capital city in (over 1,000 m above sea level).
