Monastiraki (small monastery) is a district of the old part of Athens, located not far from the central square of Athens "Syntagma" and the ancient agora. Monastiraki is an ideal place for a market - there are many antiques, folk art shops of all kinds and traditional souvenirs, but clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. are also sold.
