The island of Pag has an area of ​​284 square kilometers and a length of almost 60 km, bringing it wide popularity in Roman times. From the Romans the island received the name Pagus (village). The island is connected to the mainland by the Lubatz Bridge. Pag is famous for the production of wine, sheep cheese and spices.
The settlement of the same name was founded in 1433. The biggest attraction is the Basilica of St. Mary with an interesting facade and interior design.
